Mary Jo,
This is Tammie White. I am very interested in a reunion for our class. I have spoke with Regina Anderson and Terry Lewis. I have looked up some information about planning a reunion on the Internet and I hope to contact as many of the 1977 Evarts High School class and our 1973-74 class from Black Mountain Elementary School to have a planning meeting in the near future in Harlan. Those of us who still live here in the Harlan area and all who are willing to come are welcome to come and have input. I will contact you with the meeting place and time for our initial planning meeting. I am going to contact the Alumni Association at Evarts High School for informaton and help.
Love,
Tammie |

Tammie,
You can count me in. Just let me know what you want me to do. I know that Melinda is interested and so is Tamela Presley Jones.
Love,

A lot has happened since 1977. I went to EKU, go married; then my wife left me. I sold shoes among many other jobs in College at a store, which made me mgr. I moved to Bowling Green, Ky where I met my second wife. We have been married 24 years and have 4 daughters 22, 20, 18, 16. None of them are married so no grand kids. I can't believe I am so old that I am talking about grand kids.
I live in Cottontown, TN, which is north of Nashville near the Ky boarder.
My oldest, Tiffany, is a Senior at Lipscomb University. The next one, Christina, wouldn't go to college. She has a license to do hair and she is her own boss. The third, Courtney, is a freshman at WKU. Macy, the baby is a Sophamore in HS and plans to attend Liipscomb upon graduation.
Just before i re-married, I started a business call Jim Ball Designs. I manufacture and distribute Pageant prom and bridal jewelry all over the USA. Seven years ago I, along with a business partner, started a dress business called WOW! Prom and Pageant. We manufacture pageant and prom dresses in China and sell in the US, the UK and Australia.
I have talked to a few classmates since 77. Dallas Fields is in Indiana, up near Chicago. Dallas and Selina West are near Lexington. I have been to see them. He works for UPS. They moved and I don't have their new address and phone number. If anyone has it I would like that as I go to Lex often. I e-mail Tammy Jones, who just re-married to a fine fellow. I met him in Louisville. We all had dinner together. Tammy hasn't changed. She is an editor at Norton Hospital. Her son is in college.
I have been e-mailing Jackie Wynn. She jsut re-married . Her first husband died after a long illness. I visit Robert and Shirlene Thomas. He is Public Defender and she works for the County . I have talked to Keneth McDowell. He is in California.
Now that I have rold you more tthan I know, tell me what is up with you. It is fascinating as to how we get to where we get. I hope everything is well with you and hope to hear from you soon.

Wow you sure have been busy. As for me ...nothing as exciting as you. My life has been pretty simple. Tommy and I have been married 32 years. We have two daughters. Amanda is 30, and Sarah is 26. Amanda is married but no grandchildren yet. We live in Tazewell Tennessee. We moved here four years ago. I was a stay at home mom with the kids until Amanda was a freshman in high school and Sarah was in the sixth grade. I worked at Evarts High school for about 8 years as a Special Needs Aide. Both girls graduated from Evarts and went to college at Lincoln Memorial in Harrogate Tennessee. I left Evarts after Sarah graduated in 2000. Transfered to Black Mt Elem to work with Special Needs children. Tommy got a job here in Tazewell working as a facilities manager for a local bank who has 5 branches in the Claiborne and Hamblin Co areas. Other than that life has been tied up with the girls. They both played basketball for Evarts and went on to play in college. They kept us pretty busy from elementary school ball to college. Now it's just work and church. Sounds rather boring , but God has been really good to us.
How is your dad and mom? My dad passed away in 1999 and it was really hard for me for a long time. Did you hear about Cheryl Burgan passing away in February? Marsha Lockhart did a couple of weeks ago. Tony Brewer died (I think) in 2005. Boy it sure is scary. I live close to Doug Couch and talk to Melinda Hubbard every now and then. Sometimes I see Danny Thomas when I go to see mom in Ky. I would love for our class to get together before another one leaves this world. Feel free to email me at mary_joberry@hotmail.com. Got to go...talk again soon

I would like to get together as well. Helping special needs children is a very honorable and valuable service. I was aware of the decessed classmates except Marsha. My Mom and Dad have moved to Kinsport, TN about 5 years ago. He had cancer 10 years ago after smoking 51 years. He had to have half of a lung removed, but has survived the cancer.
hope all is well
