We have had a ton of SPAM user accounts and posts advertising inappropriate material which we do not want 'our' users exposed to. I did have all new user accounts set to inactive until they could be approved by me. However, I recently added a new modification that will require all new users to enter a VIP code which will stop the automatic SPAM registrations and allow individual users to activate their accounts via their e-mail.
