Ray Cecil Achievements:All Regional 55-56, Leading Scorer 55-56 at 28 pts a game. Two coaches with a combined 80 years of coaching at EHS have proclaimed him as the 'best shooter to ever walk in the gym'. Most Memorable Moment: "Hitting the winning shot in overtime in a Wallins tournament to help Evarts win one of its first ever basketball tournament awards."	1956	Basketball
Russ Dozier Achievements:All Conference (CVC). Russ also coached football and basketball at EHS and served as Principal at Evarts and Cawood. Most Memorable Moment: "Bringing the first District Tournament ever held in Evarts."	1942	Basketball & Football
Rayburn 'Pete" Hicks Achievements:All Conference (CVC), CVC Championship. After high school, Pete went into the Airforce where he played baseall for 15 years and coached for 8. He was once offered to come and try out for the Cincinnati Reds, but chose to stay in the service. He retired in 1994, but not from sports. In 1994 and 1995 he played in the National Senior Olympiv (age 60 and over) slow pitch softball. Most Memorable Moment:	1950	Baseball & Football
Mack Kelly Achievements: All Conference Jr. Year, All Conference Sr. Year, 53 District II A Shot Put Champ. Most Memorable Moment: "Starting on the first team in my Jr. year at Defense and Offense. "	1967	Football & Track
Paul Ed Shell Achievements: Hustle Award, Defense Award, Best Rebounder Award. Team Captain. All Conference (CVC) 2 years, All Tournament 2 years. Most Memorable Moment: "Helping my team make it to the Regional Basketball Tournament in 1976."	1976	Basketball
Perry Steele Achievements: Baseball Al 52nd District Tournament 3 years, All Conference (CVC) 2 years in football, Captain Sr. Year, played American Legion Baseball in Corbum and won a state championship 1st pyear, was on State & Regional All Tournament Team. Most Memorable Moment: "When we beat Lynch 7-0 on homecoming night. Also, winning the 52nd District Baseball Tournament my Jr. year."	1974	Baseball & Football
Kerry Vanover Achievements: Junior Year - All Conference (CVC), All SEKC, Most Valuable Player, All State Honorable Mention, All Tournament, Senior Year - Team Captain, All SEKC, All CVC, Most Valuable Player, All Harlan County Team, All Tournament, All Regional Team, All State Honorable Mention, All CVC (football). Most Memorable Moment: "When EHS was down 20 points against Harlan in the 4th quarter, we won the victory over Harlan when i shot the last shot as the buzzer went off."	1983	Basketball & Football
Willard Wilkinson Achievements:All State Honorable Mention, All Conference 3 years, Football Team Captain in 1976, Baseball team won District title 3 straight years. Most Memorable Moment: "I had 3 fumble recoveries and 8 solo tackles against Harlan in one game in 1975."	1976	Baseball & Football
Jerry Woolum Achievements: All Conference, All State, All American in High School. jerry went on to play at the University of Kentucky where he was named to the All SEC team. He also played in the North-South game at the quarter position. Most Memorable Moment:	1959	Baseball, Basketball & Football
Elmer Wynn Achievements: 1975 & 1976 EHS Offensive Player of the Year, All CVC, Outstanding Offensive Player in the Laurel Bowl, Outstanding Offensive player 1975,1976 Team Captain. Most Memorable Moment: "It's hard to pick one moment when there were so many, like before each game, the feeling of excitement you got. And just playing as a team with so many great teammates.
