Welcome to Evarts Alumni

We welcome you to the Evarts High School Alumni and Scholarship Web site, an electronic meeting place for alumni of the EHS community, past and present alike.

Here you can find old classmates, relate stories of growing up in and around Evarts, renew old friendships, create new ones and/or plan your next class reunion.

We have decided to make a Facebook Organization page for our Alumni Association located at: http://www.facebook.com/evartsalumni/. If you don't have a Facebook account, we encourage you to make one. Registration is easy and only takes a few moments.

Please note that this is the only official web site for the Alumni Association. Any other web site soliciting sales of EHS memorabilia and/or seeking donations is in no way associated with our organization, nor does any money from those sites go toward the scholarships we award annually to Cloverfork students or toward our annual reunion.

 

Alumni Newsletter

The Alumni organization produces an annual newsletter to provide details about upcoming reunions. Those who have attended a prior reunion and left their address during registration should receive one with dates and other important information. If you have not received a newsletter and would like to, please e-mail Evelyn Philpot at evelynphilpot@windstream.net with your name and address and she will get you added to the list!

Annual Labor Day Reunion

Due to the closing of Evarts High School, we simply have not had the opportunity or resources to get the school ready for upcoming reunions. We are pleased to announce that the Multipurpose Center - Cloverfork Club for Progress and Education has purchased EHS and renovation/repair efforts to the old section of the school are underway. In the near future, they hope to receive assistance from the Evarts High School Alumni and Scholarship Association and EHS Alumni. When the school closed it was in the best shape it had seen in many, many years. Without an opportunity to purchase the school or provide the community/area businesses with a chance to utilize it in some capacity, it was left vacant and the effects of vandalism, theft, lack of heat, etc. have taken their toll. Cleanup efforts are underway, electricity has been restored to portions of the old section and progress is being made. We face a huge challenge but would like to announce that we expect to have the first floor, gymnasium and bathroom facilities available for the 2012 Annual Labor Day Reunion. We understand that using Evarts Elementary to host the reunion was not the same, but it was all we had and we thank them for allowing us to use their facilities. Now, how can you help? Renovations and planning are very premature at this point. In the future we will be seeking donations and support from our Alumni and will provide more specific information about that when appropriate.

Remember, if you do not receive a newsletter or have information to add, please e-mail Evelyn Philpot! The Labor Day Reunion is always scheduled around the Labor Day Holiday weekend, which is the first full weekend of September.
